Last Autumn an enthusiastic group of councillors and local residents undertook the planting of hundreds of daffodil bulbs on Beaumont Green. They approached the task with great gusto, with a wonderful feeling of camaraderie, enjoying a socially distanced day out in the lovely Autumn sunshine. And the next few months in a state of trepidation wondering if they would ever see the fruits of their labours!
Excitement mounted as little green shoots poked through the grass and the planting team all watched in amazement to see a host of golden daffodils appear in March. Wordsworth would have been proud!
We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
