Last Autumn, Coleorton Parish Council donated 10 bird boxes to Viscount Beaumont’s School for the children to decorate as one of their art projects. There are six boxes in Coleorton Wood (some are in the Post Office wood), one on Beaumont Green, one at The Bakehouse and two on the foothpath from Stoney Lane to the Zion Hill playground. The children have created some lovely designs that any bird would be proud to nest in! If you should happen to see any nesting activity, the children would love to hear from you!
