Parish Council Meeting

Thursday 18th September 2014

Summary report

  • The Council thanked Emma-Kate Fletcher for all her work. The process of co-opting a new Councillor was agreed and will start once the statutory period ends.
  • Thinning work in Coleorton Wood has started. The areas are clearly marked with safety notices so please avoid using those parts of the Wood until the work is completed in mid-October.
  • The Council was delighted to receive a donation of £300 from Coalville Motocross Club as a contribution to the parish from the event held in August. The money will go towards the cost of new benches and picnic tables in Coleorton Wood.
  • The Council has appointed a contractor to mend the potholes on Pitt Lane. We will publicise the dates that the work is to be done when it is all arranged.
  • The position of a new flower tub on the junction of A512 and Lower Moor Road has been agreed by LCC. We hope to have it in place for Spring planting.
  • Next meeting: 23rd October, Beaumont Centre, 7.30pm
