A Strategy for Growth and Change
The Local Development Framework is a series of documents, which will set out the District Council’s planning policies for the district of North West Leicestershire for the next twenty years. The Core Strategy is the first document to be produced and the most important – it will set out the overall framework for the future development.
The council want to hear your views on their suggested approach. Copies of the consultation document can be viewed on the NWLDC web site here. In addition copies can be viewed at the following locations:
- District Council Offices, Whitwick Road, Coalville – 8.45am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
- Public Libraries (during normal opening hours)
- North Street, Ashby de la Zouch
- Delven Lane, Castle Donington
- High Street , Coalville
- Community College, Ibstock
- High Street, Kegworth
- Thorpe Road, Measham
How to respond to the consultation?
The District Council have set up an on-line portal where you can view the document and respond on-line. On-line Framework Portal. Responses to the consultation are to be received by 5.00 PM on 23 March 2009
Consultation Meetings
A public meeting for the Coalville and Ibstock area has been arranged for Wednesday 4th March 2009 at King Edward VII Sports and Science College, Warren Hills Road, Coalville. The meeting will be from 6.30pm to 9pm and will include presentations by Council officers and a number of the promoters of potential development sites and an opportunity to ask questions.
A drop-in session has been arranged for the 5th March 2009. It will be held at The Hermitage Leisure Centre, Whitwick from 2pm to 7pm. Officers will be present to answer questions - there will be no presentations.
