"Coleorton Christmas on The Green"
Sunday 8 December 2019

Santa came to visit Coleorton on 8th December for "Christmas on the Green", a community event sponsored by Coleorton Parish Council. Several hundred residents attended and enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and entertainment from a band of local musicians, Roots singers and the choir from Viscount Beaumont School. A large Christmas tree had been donated which was formally switched on during the event, and a wooden building was loaned to the event by a local company for Santa's grotto. Donations were raised in support of a very local charity - the Robbie Anderson Cancer Trust - and totalled an amazing 837.91 which the Parish Council rounded up to 1000. The Parish Council would like to thank all those who helped and donated to make this a massive success!

What a wonderful event!

Well done parish councillors Ann Stafford and Rich Hughes who organised the event and to all their many helpers.
