Changes to Street Lighting

Leicestershire County Councilare proposing to change how the street lighting works in Coleorton Parish. The proposal involves switching off some of the street lights between 00:00 and 05:30

Speed watch training
Speeding within the parish has become a very serious concern over the last few years – it was raised by many parishioners during the parish plan consultation.

Would you like to help do something about it ?

The Parish Council in collaboration with Leicestershire County Council have secured the use of speed watch equipment for ONE month (09/08/2010-05/09/2010). If you would like to help us carry out a survey of vehicle speeds within the parish then please contact the clerk at clerk@coleorton.org.uk for further information.

The information gathered will be passed through to the police who will send out letters to the registered keepers of speeding vehicles outlining the concerns of the local residents and requesting that the speed limit is adhered to in the future.

Training will be held at the Beaumont Centre on the evening of Thursday 5th August 2010.
