Post OficeRichard and Stella are moving on

Stella and Richard have run the Coleorton Post office for 13 years and have worked really hard to make it a successful business, and more importantly for the community, a functional and useful Post Office and shop. With all the down-sizing and cutbacks going on nationally in the Post Office they have built up the postal side of things which is so important in a rural village. People drive out from Coalville to post their parcels because they get such good and friendly service at Coleorton P.O.

Now Stella and Richard are moving to North Yorkshire so they can spend more time with their grandchildren and we wish them well - and a big THANK YOU for all they have done to keep Coleorton Post Office running for us.

This week they are handing over the business to Suky and her daughter Sharna who have previous family Post Office experience. We welcome them to Coleorton and wish them every success. More about Coleorton Post Office >>

About Coleorton Parish

Coleorton Parish includes the villages of Coleorton, Coleorton Moor, Church Town and Farm Town as well as parts of Peggs Green, Griffydam and Lount. The Parish Plan survey in 2008 found that parishioners felt communication of information throughout the parish was not effective and so a website was set up to address this. The website has now become a centre of information about activities and events in and around Coleorton, local clubs and organisations, a directory for local businesses and services and a platform for people who would like to share their enthusiasm for local history and the environment.

If you would like to contribute any item about Coleorton or surrounding areas or add details of your club, organisation or event (no charge) or have any suggestions for items on this website please email
