Roadworks during January
There are several road closures and works scheduled affecting Coleorton:
- Limby Hall Lane for up to 15 days from 16 January
- Traffic lights on Nottingham Road, Peggs Green, 15 - 18 January
Please take care when following alternative routes as some roads are narrow and suitable for one-way traffic only. Also lanes are used by walkers and horse-riders who may not be expecting traffic. Further details >>
Coleorton Heritage Group
The next Coleorton Heritage Group meeting will be on Thursday 19 January. The meeting starts at 7.00pm at 153 The Moor. The Group will be discussing a scheme for placing "Green Plaques" on local building of historical and social interest - a bit like the Blue Plaques showing where famous people live - and research into some of Coleorton's oldest families. If you are interested in local history please come along. You will be very welcome. More about Coleorton Heritage Group >>

About Coleorton Parish
Coleorton Parish includes the villages of Coleorton, Coleorton Moor, Church Town and Farm Town as well as parts of Peggs Green, Griffydam and Lount. The Parish Plan survey in 2008 found that parishioners felt communication of information throughout the parish was not effective and so a website was set up to address this. The website has now become a centre of information about activities and events in and around Coleorton, local clubs and organisations, a directory for local businesses and services and a platform for people who would like to share their enthusiasm for local history and the environment. If you would like to contribute any item about Coleorton or surrounding areas or add details of your club, organisation or event (no charge) or have any suggestions for items on this website please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Local businesses and services
Coleorton residents are an enterprising bunch: the latest Coleorton businesses listed in the local services directory include IT specialists, photographers and dog walkers. Email email@example.com if you would like your local business listed (free of charge for Coleorton-based businesses or owners).
